and Linda Ellson, real estate professional working out of our Amherst branch, discuss the ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui and its application for selling real estate.
What is Feng Shui? This is a simple question that can be difficult to answer. Feng Shui is an ancient art and science developed over 3,000 years ago in China. It is a complex body of knowledge that reveals how to balance the energies of any given space in a mindful and harmonious way.
Feng means wind and shui means water. In Chinese culture wind and water are associated with good health, thus good feng shui came to mean good fortune, while bad feng shui means bad luck, or misfortune. Feng Shui is based on an understanding of nature, particularly on the idea that the land is alive and filled with Chi, or energy.
Linda Ellson is a Licensed Realtor and President / Owner, of Feng Shui Your World. She is a Certified Classical Feng Shui Practitioner and a graduate of the American School of Classical Feng Shui. Linda also holds a BA from Canisius College and has a professional background in marketing, operations, and special events.
